What is the meaning of OM?
Om is an ancient mantra. In many of our classes we follow the tradition of beginning our classes chanting Om to create a sense of harmony and unity among the students. |
What is the meaning of Namaste?
Our classes always end with the teacher reciting the words “Namaste” to the class. In Sanskrit, it means, “I bow to you.” It is done at the end of class because the mind is less active and the energy in the room is more peaceful. Reciting Namaste allows individuals to come together energetically to a place of connection and timelessness, free from the bonds and stressors of the outside worlds. Simply stated, Namaste means: The Spirit in Me Honors The Spirit in You. |
